English lessons, La Marseillaise...

"We use sport to allow children to learn in a fun way, cultivate the idea of living together in harmony and awaken their conscience", the co-creator of Sport à vie explained to our colleagues. The Year 6 pupils of Jean-Mermoz school, an establishment classified as a priority education network (REP), prepared this trip. They took English and Arabic lessons. They took part in videoconferences with an archaeologist whose site they will discover, the daily newspaper details. They worked on citizenship by learning La Marseillaise and creating their own anthem.

Cultural visits and matches

On site, visits to several museums are planned as well as an evening in the desert, a meeting with the French ambassador. In addition, they will attend three group-stage matches of the French team. The Sport à vie association has already taken several children abroad during the World Cups in South Korea and Japan, in Russia or in South Africa. To find out more: read the Le Parisien article
