Opened on May 13, 2024 in Paris's 19th arrondissement, La Table des Justes is the result of several years of work, reflection, and commitment from the entire Le Silence des Justes team. This isn't a restaurant that simulates work for show: autistic teenagers and adults learn real trades here — cooking, bread-making, pastry, table service — with real customers, real hours, and real standards.
And anyone who comes for lunch takes part, without any extra effort, in something bigger than just a meal.

In France, 700,000 people live with autism spectrum disorder — and, across all mental and cognitive disabilities combined, only 0.5% of them work in a mainstream job, with an unemployment rate 2 to 3 times higher than the general population. La Table des Justes doesn't only serve walk-in customers. Every day, at lunch and dinner, it prepares and delivers meals to every Le Silence des Justes site.
A genuine logistical backbone for the association — and, for the young people in training, concrete proof that their work has real, immediate value beyond the training itself.
These young people leave with far more than a skill: they gain independence and self-esteem.
La Table des Justes isn't an isolated case. Over the past few years, a real movement of inclusive restaurants has been growing across the country. The best known, Café Joyeux, opened its first location in Rennes in 2017 — it now runs nearly 28 locations in France and abroad (Brussels, Lisbon), employing more than 200 people on permanent contracts, most of them living with a mental or cognitive disability. Other, more local initiatives are following the same path: Bistro Papillons near Lille, Le K in Vernon, or L'Envolée de la Chrysalide. Each on its own scale, they all point to the same conclusion: professional inclusion for autistic people and those living with a mental disability isn't a utopia — it's a viable, replicable business model, already well underway.
