History

Le Silence des Justes 25 years of commitment to give a better life to people with autism.

Our non profit Le Silence des Justes inspired the realisators Toledano and Nakache for their movie The Specials.

It is the true story of the hundreds of people we have been able to follow and help across the past 25 years.
Johan was the first teenager with autism we took care of. He was integrated in a camp among other teenagers who didn’t have a handicap in 1996 for the first time.
The, impressed by the progress he wa able to make during this period our non profit which was organising specifically Summer and vacation camps decided to open a first center to welcome children with autism.

Followed up soon a medico-educative center, an emergency crisis service and a few places able to welcome people with autism from early childhood up to adulthood .

Autism Emergency

Le Silence des Justes is getting ready for a new year:
  • maintenance and creation of new school activities
  • creation and development of new sectors of apprenticeship
  • acquisition of new inclusive housing
  • opening of a learning center for families professionals and any person concerned or interested about autism.
Inclusion is at the heart of all those new projects because we know that people with autism can learn to live and work amongst us.

Exponantial development

Our association also grew up exponentially always eager and willing to answer when ever needed in cases of distress or emergency. Calls coming from judges, families, care providers …any person confronted to the inadapted care situations of the 700000 people diagnosed with autism in France. Johan opened the way to good and adequate solutions: early diagnosis and adapted care Schools, companies, institutions, men and women open and willing to accept the difference.

Founding principles

With very basic but very unique founding principles . One caregiver for one child ; use of techniques and special care reducing considerably the use if psychiatric and harmful treatments.

A pluridisciplinary team of experts in remedial treatment of autistic comportments.

Johan grew up in this adapted environment. He learned to use the metro in Paris by himself and even got a job.
